Hi everybody.Sorry it took me so long to update my site. I've moved on my own to another city and I'm trying to get my life back in order. I'm gonna update more soon..but first something cool. I met a legend last week when I was in Brighton at a Deep Purple/Thunder concert.. This must be the most famous person I have ever met.. no one less the LED ZEPPELINS guitarist JIMMY PAGE!! I had a nice chat with him.. check out the picture here.. And also a picture of me with my good friend Scampi from England. He made it all possible by making sure I got backstage at the gig. Finally an update.I have some pictures of a legend for you... Blondie. I saw her play live at 013... I had such a great time! Then a sexy portrait of Death Angel's singer Mark Osegueda. I took this at a listening session for their new album, in Germany. This picture made my first cover! August 15, 2004
Time for some updates.. I have some of everything for you.. new bandpictures of trashers Flesh Made Sin, taken at 013 in Tilburg.Then a couple of live pictures of this strange guy, called Guitarfucker.. check him out.. he is really WEIRD! And last I have some snapshots for you, taken at several occasions, pictures of me with singer Ben and drummer Chris of Orange Goblin, with bassplayer Dave and guitarist Paul of no band less then Cradle of Filth! A picture of me with Chris Caffery (former Savatage) and no-one less then famous Doro Pesch. I made a couple of great pictures of these last 2, that will follow later. For me the festival season is almost over.I've been to so many that I'm fed up with festivals at the moment. I've been to Dynamo, Waldrock, Arrow, Bospop, Schwung, Sjock and maybe more.. so took a lot of pictures, met a lot of people.. Finally... I finally have an update for you.I've just moved and things are less hectic again, so first things first.. I saw Fear Factory several times in this past period, and here are some new shots of them live in Melkweg in Amsterdam. June 9, 2004
On april the 16th the Stereophonics played in 013. And I had just found out that their new drummer is Steve Gorman, drummer of the Black Crowes, which is my favourite band of alllll times. Check out Steve and the rest here..

On May the 5th I had the privelege to take pictures at Hollands famous Bevrijdingspop festival in Haarlem. There I made liveshots, but also met a lot of stars.. check out the snapshots..Furthermore I have some nice new live-pictures of my friends of Prejudice.. check em out.. May 25, 2004
I saw Five Horse Johnson play live, the live shots will hopefully follow soon, but you now can see a picture of me with singer Eric Oblander, and with their tourmanager Greg.Then there are two snapshots of me with my all time favourite musician Jan van der Mey. I am a fan of his music for over 18 years! Soon I will have live pictures of his band Powerplay. And I have a picture with his bassplayer Ivo Severijns, who was born and raised in my hometown Waalwijk. The last new snapshot is one with 2 guys from a funny band called the Nederbietels. The picture is funny as well! It took a long while..almost a year..but finally.. Kevin Pasman will be pleased (Hi Kev!), here they are... the live-pictures of Overkill! Check out these pictures of my first real exhibition in the ABC Architectuurcentrum.And a big thank you to Walther Ownman (the guy in the picture), for helping me putting the stuff on the wall. Thanks Walther! Put a couple of new snapshots up for you..with Paul Carrack, a real hero of mine, and a picture with 2 guys who are also big fans of him, Serge & Walther. A picture with 2 guys of the Dead Brothers, a wonderful band, check em out if you can, and 2 pictures with my good friends of Tankard. They are crazy! Also added some new live-shots of Chillburn..these guys have a wonderful stage perfomance and one time they play all in white, and other times they play all in black..the pics are beautifull, check em out.. And for people who understand Dutch, here's an interview with me in the local newspaper Maasroute. May 1, 2004
With the winning of the award, came different prices.Amongst them are 2 exhibitions..one in "Patronaat", the venue where I won the price, and the other one in ABC Architectuurcentrum, both in Haarlem. A few days ago I went to Haarlem to put my pictures on the wall in the ABC centre..I'm really very proud of my first real exhibition. Very cool to see my best pictures enlarged for the first time.

Here's what the jury said: "Surprising (this is an understatement). She watches, but she also sees. 'Keep up the good work' and if she's not already doing so, she can easily offer her work for publication. Rachel Rijsdijk is not an allrounder of concessions. She shows having control of all facets, from live to portrait photography, both technical and with respect to content, on a very high level."
